Infinity Air is a fictional airline in the movie "Final Approach". The movie's plot is in 2007 An action-filled account of an ex-FBI negotiator who uses all his skills to save a Infinity Air L-1011 headed for Los Angeles from the terrorists who have placed a bomb on board. Not much else is known besides this Incident on Infinity Air.

Fleet[]

One of The Infinity air L-1011s seen is called "Stargazer." In real life there is an L-1011 named Stargazer used by Northrop Grumman. This airline may be inspired by this aircraft as both their liveries look similar, although the real life counterpart has changed their livery ever since.

Incidents and Accidents[]

In a 2007 flight for Infinity Air in "Final Approach", the plane is hijacked by terrorists but it was managed to be saved by the movie's protagonist.

Stargazer

N140SC in 2015

The aircraft used for ground sequences is N140SC "Stargazer" used by Northrop Grumman (formerly Orbital Sciences) to launch rockets. The L-1011 is a February 1974 build and delivered to Air Canada the next month. It flew with Air Canada until May 1992 when Orbital Sciences acquired it and is the last airworthy L-1011 in the world.
